Dragonica Online Philippines -- Alpha Testing

Dragonica Online is here in the Philippines all thanks to e-Games! e-Games have brought us popular MMOs such as Cabal Online, Granado Espada, ZXonline, and Ran Online. Prior to being available in the Philippines, Dragonica was made available in Southeast Asia by IAHGames. However Filipino players had problems buying iCash for special items since it was not readily available in the country.

Dragonica is an MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) sports 3-D graphics on a side-scrolling interface and intuitive controls. It’s free-to-play to boot! (or at least we hope it is in the Philippines) Like many free-to-play games, it sports a Cash Shop where players can use real money to buy special items not available using money earned in game.

The graphics of the games are very cute and fun, and may appeal to more casual gamers. There are a lot of really cute and funny skill animations that can make you laugh when you first see them—One skill allows you to damage opponents by farting.

At the start of the game, you’re given a chance to customize your character and choose from 4 basic classes: Warrior, Magician, Archer, and Thief. The game itself is mainly played through doing mission maps and completing quests.

Dragonica was officially launched last April 10, 2010 at the Domination IV event at the SMX Center. Currently, the game is still in Alpha testing but CBT and OBT clients are available on torrent. Installers were being handed out at the event and as of last Wednesday (April 14) there were only 200 Alpha accounts left. Hurry and sign up before the Dragonica Online Alpha Test runs out of slots!

Given e-Games' prior advertising campaigns, are they going to put famous cosplayers/gaming icons like Alodia Gosiengfiao and Ashley Gosiengfiao (who also promoted another e-Games MMO, ZXOnline), or Iya Villania into the sexiest character outfits they can manage to promote Dragonica Online?
